According to Nevada car crash data released by the Nevada Department of Public Safety:
Pedestrian deaths in the state rose 5% last year to 2022, accounting for 88 deaths last year—while cyclist deaths went from 7 last year to 15 in 2022.

In addition, the impacts of speeding can be made worse by bad weather, as about 45% of fatal speeding crashes occurred on water; ice and frost both made up 40% of incidents; and, dry conditions were responsible for about 20% of incidents.
